Dr. Senthilnathan has more than 25 years of experience in Chemical and environmental engineering fields, with specialization in wastewater treatment and associated environmental matters. His experiences include environmental auditing, waste characterization, obtaining environmental permits, process development, design of wastewater treatment plants, production technologies, cost optimization of wastewater treatment, troubleshooting, waste minimization, energy & water conservation, computer aided design, and mathematical modeling. Recent projects include optimization of a hazardous groundwater treatment facility, design/review, troubleshooting and optimization of wastewater treatment plants, start-up, acceptance testing, and operator training, and providing technical support to ongoing environmental projects.
John Carter

Mineral Processing
John Carter provides consulting support on PRO’s Mineral Processing initiatives. His experience includes providing engineering support to the development of a 2500 mtpd. Graphite processing mill, designing and building pilot plant and implementing testing and pilot work into full plant design. He has also worked with engineering firms to complete full feasibility and supervise procurement and plant construction. Previously, he was the CEO of a company designing and manufacturing mineral processing equipment. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering.
V. Ramachandran

Extractive Metallurgy
Dr. Ramachandran is a renowned hydrometallurgist with more than 35 years of experience in hydrometallurgy of base and precious metals (leaching, purification and electrowinning); Autoclave leaching of copper slimes, molybdenum concentrates, laterite and lead speiss – laboratory scale; Nitric Acid parting for silver slimes – laboratory, pilot plant testing and assistance in plant start up; Translation of flow sheets to engineering design in hydrometallurgical application of effluent treatment streams. He was a winner of the M.E. Wadsworth award for Hydrometallurgy in 2001.
Stindar (Stien) K. Lal Q.C
Business Development
Stien Lal is a senior executive with over eighteen years of diversified experience at the Deputy Minister level under successive Governments in Ontario and the Northwest Territories, where he led major changes and reform in large complex organizations with multi-million dollar budgets. He received his Law degree at Middle Temple, London and has since been called to the Bar in England, India, Nova Scotia, NWT, Ontario and Nunavut. He was made Queen’s Counsel in 1983. He provides consulting support to PRO in formulating business strategies, with focus on government programs.
Deepak Kantawala

During the more than 40 years of professional work, Dr. Kantawala has handled various projects in the field of environmental engineering. These activities included design and commissioning of more than 100 industrial wastewater treatment plants for various industry sub-sectors and a number of Common Effluent Treatment Plants, Sewage Treatment Plants, River Basin Surveys, preparation of Comprehensive Industry Documents leading to the development of Standards for various industry sub-sectors, for the Central Pollution Control Board and assignments with the World Bank, World Health Organization (WHO), U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Government of Netherlands, Canadian International Development Agency Etc.
Jack D. Melnbardis
Bench and Pilot scale projects
Jack Melnbardis spent over 40 years at Ontario Research Foundation, where he worked on a wide range of metallurgical projects. These included: bench and pilot scale grinding and beneficiation of ferrous, non-ferrous, uranium and precious metal ores and coal, involving autogeneous, ball and pebble mill grinding circuits; supervision of a 500 tpd sulphuric acid and sintering plant and roasting operation; and bench and pilot scale process optimization on industrial minerals. He has operated flotation concentration plants in Eastern Canada. Jack provides consulting and hands-on support to PRO on hydrometallurgical and mineral processing (magnetic separation, flotation and gravity separation) projects.
Mahadevan (Nat) Natarajan

Renewable energy
Dr. Natarajan has over 34 years of Canadian and overseas experience in steam electric power plant projects and studies in the areas of thermal power plant equipment design, engineering, construction and management. He has participated in over 150 projects ranging in size from small steam generators to 1000 MW power plant units and has led several major projects for Canadian and overseas utilities involving technical feasibility studies, cost estimates and project engineering of various sizes of fossil fuel fired thermal plants, alternative energies, emission control technology, integrated coal gasification and combined heat and power plants. Dr. Natarajan provides consulting support to PRO on renewable energy initiatives.

Sundeep Khosla has been helping Canadian companies for 20 years in developing business opportunities and partnerships in Canada and international markets by providing management consulting services. He has worked with major clients on projects supported by the National Research Council (NRC), Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and Export Development Corporation (EDC). With PRO, he is developing specific bench/pilot scale and pre-commercialization projects, with focus on agricultural waste or other bio-waste material, in partnership with Canadian SME’s, Universities and Federal/Provincial government agencies.
Kal Sathi

Kal Sathi is a metallurgical engineer with extensive experience in materials selection, fabrication and inspection of components according to Nuclear ( ASME section III), Pressure Vessels ( ASME section VIII) , Pressure Piping ( ANSI B31.1) and structural
( CSA W59) codes. He is a member of the American Welding Society. Mr. Sathi worked as a Design Engineer- Specialist with Ontario Hydro for 20 years, where he was responsible for developing welding and brazing procedure according to various codes. He also worked for nearly 5 years as Quality Control Metallurgist with Canadian General Electric. Mr. Sathi provides consulting support to PRO on projects dealing with quality control of materials and manufacturing, with focus on welding and coating procedures.

M.R. Krishnadev

Dr. M.R. Krishnadev holds BS in Mechanical Engineering from University of Mysore, MS and Ph.D. in physical and mechanical metallurgy from University of Saskatchewan. His expertise covers a wide spectrum of materials science and engineering including fracture mechanics, failure analyses, advanced high strength steels, metal matrix composites, welding and heat treatment. He has taught courses in the area of fracture mechanics, failure analysis and prevention. He has published over 100 papers and holds two patents. He has made significant contribution to the development and commercial application of modern strong, tough , wieldable HSLA steels. Dr. Krishnadev provides consulting support to PRO in the area of materials testing, failure analysis and prevention.
